I have returned from my recent trip to the Middle East. God is moving in amazing ways in the Middle East and particularly in the country of Jordan. I want to share with you some of the things that are happening.
One thing we do as part of blessing people and touching them with Christ is something called Treasure Hunts. We split up into groups of 3 or 4 people and spend a few minutes in prayer. The objective of the prayer time is to ask God questions like: where, what, who. Where does God want us to go, what can we be looking for, who do you want us to talk to. Here is one of many stories that come out of these Treasure Hunts.
After the prayer time, the group felt to go to the downtown area of Amman, known as the ballad. When there, they were to look for a man in a red shirt. When meeting this man the sense was there would be an opportunity to pray for healing and miracles. When they reached the downtown area they were immediately on the lookout for a man in a red shirt. Soon after, they zeroed in on the man and decided to approach him. Explaining to him that they were there to pray for him and sent from God, they saw he had a broken arm. Asking specifically to pray healing for his arm, the man agreed with interest and curiosity. The man explained that he was experiencing severe pain in his arm that it was persistent. As a group, in the middle of downtown Amman, they laid hands on this man and prayed to Jesus Christ for the healing of his arm. When they asked him how he was feeling he said; while the group was praying, he felt a tingling in his arm. The group asked him if they could pray for him again, he agreed. After the second time of praying the man said he again felt tingling and the pain in his arm was gone! He was so excited and shocked that these Jesus people would want to pray for him and that he was healed. Praise the Lord! So many stories like this one are happening in Jordan and other Muslim countries. God is moving in healing, miracles and many other amazing ways. Let’s pray that the Muslim world will continue to experience the wonder of God’s love!

After getting testing done it showed that my thyroid levels were still very low and the medication in fact was not working and possibly was having a negative effect to my body. I am now on a new medication and am hoping this will work. I will go for testing again soon to see if my prescription needs changing and what effect it is having on my thyroid. They discovered other issues like extreme iron deficiency that was causing major fatigue.Thankfully from what they could see my heart is fine and some of the symptoms could be due to stress; My thyroid and inflammation in the chest... they haven’t yet been able to fully diagnose all of my symptoms. I have been taking this time to get some much needed physical and emotional rest, as well as spend time with my family. After getting the ok from my doctor that I could return to Orlando and continue my work there I booked a ticket to leave after Christmas. I was excited to be heading back and staffing the next School Of Missions, where I would be training up students who are ready to be sent out overseas long-term, and planning a return trip to Israel/Palestine.As I was crossing the border in the Toronto airport I was denied entry into the States. According to the officer I did not have the right paper work to enter with the status I was previously granted. This was very shocking and upsetting to me that I was not able to continue on, back to YWAM Orlando. I am currently back in Kelowna working out the situation with a lawyer in what I need to do to re-enter the states. I am trusting in God for his timing and way and praying that I will have all the documents and granted the right visa to return to Orlando soon. If you would like more information on my current situation or have any questions please feel free to email me at branswatson@hotmail.com.

Due to my health concerns I will be staying in Kelowna until the end of December. I am still undergoing tests and so continual prayer is needed. I also am NOT covered by MSP and so all medical bills that I receive from all the testing and such will have to be paid by me. I do not have the funds to pay for this and at this point I don't know what the total costs will be. Pray that God will provide the finances for this or my bills will be excused in some way. Since I am going to be home I will be meeting with people and doing some support raising. I need monthly support more than ever, especially with my medical expenses. I am traveling overseas more and so I need funds for that. It is great to be back in the church body and seeing you all! Thank you for your prayers and support.

2010 OCTOBER - UPDATE FROM BRANDI
Hey all, I just wanted to give a little update to what I have been up to. Right now I am in Spain debriefing the DTS School I took on outreach. We were in Tunisia for 2 months. I gotta say that it was an amazing trip. God used this team of 15 in so many awesome ways. We were able to minister to the Tunisian people through prayer and friendship building. We made some special friends and had a chance to do some holy book studies. Taking time with them to study both the bible and Koran together to see what they say about the prophets like Adam, Moses and Noah as well as showing how Jesus is talked about and what message he brought to us. Many lives were touched and impacted with the love of Christ. We also were able to love on new born babies at a local hospital in the capital city of Tunis. These babies were abandoned at birth by their mothers. Many different circumstances were involved, mostly situations of rape and abuse. It was so special to be able to care for them and pray over them as we held them, claiming them for the kingdom of God. So many more stories to share as well as some great pictures of our time there, so look for it in my next newsletter which I will be getting out when I return to the states. What a privilege it is to serve God!!!! Many blessings to you guys!
Blessings,
Brandi
2009 December - Brandi's Update
Hey hope everyone is doing well. We are getting ready for our new quarter to start here in a couple weeks, and so things are busy as usual. This fall I will be working in the services department and getting things ready for the new year. I will be staffing the School Of Missions in January and taking a GO team short term trip to Israel at the end of May beginning of June. This fall I will be planning a lot for the school and upcoming trips in 2010. We are going to be running our first Muslim Focus DTS in the spring of 2010, and that is very exciting for us who are working with Muslim ministry. I also will be staffing that and leading the outreach to Morocco as of now. The next year is going to be very busy for me and I will be doing a lot of traveling. I am excited to see Muslim ministry taking off here in Orlando and overseas. I know God has a lot in store for me and for us as a base in the new year. I just wanted you to know what is coming up for me and will fill you in more with the details as they come. Hope things are well there and will talk to you soon.
Blessings

Good visit home!
My trip home at the beginning of March was great. I had a amazing time teaching in the GMTC school and was grateful for the opportunity to stir a fire for missions in the hearts of the students. I enjoyed being able to visit with some of you at the mission’s conference as well and at the Saturday morning breakfast where I spoke. I am so encouraged to see how KCC is so involved in missions and the support that they give all their missionaries.
I was sad to leave as time went by quickly while I was home. Since being home I have been back in the swing of things. We started a new quarter and 4 schools that are going on. I have been getting to know the new students and training some staff in work duties. It is encouraging to see our base as it grows. It is our first time offering a School Of Worship and so far things have been going great with that. The students are being challenged in their music and song writing in worship. We are having our first summer DTS and offering a new school; School of Ministry and Development. It will help potential staff get a better feel of YWAM Orlando as well as equip them in ministry. God is doing so much here and as he leads we are seeing students walk out in freedom and new sense of purpose and destiny. If we are open to God’s presence in our lives, he can accomplish amazing things in and through us!
Coming up this Summer…
This summer I will be serving the base as the kitchen manager. This is a job that is always hard to find people for and so I wanted to be able to serve in that way. It will give me time as well, to start developing teachings and concentrate on Muslim Ministry. I will be coming home late summer for a short vacation so hopefully I will get to see some of you. I am excited to see what God reveals to me throughout the summer. He has been so faithful and given me so much grace to face all that has come my way in the past 2 years. Miss you all and grateful for continual prayers and support!!!
Prayer Requests
- Monthly financial supporters
- Provision for possible trips coming up
- Prayer in direction and strength for the future
Hey guys, I just wanted to update you on how things are going for me since I have last seen you. Our base just had a BLT (basic leader's training) conference all last week and it was amazing. Jim Stier was the speaker, he was our YWAM president and pioneered YWAM Brazil. He was teaching on making decisions and the process in how to do that in our leadership and our personal walk with God. It was very fitting as I am in the middle of making some decisions myself. I would appreciate your prayers at this time as I am seeking God on some direction. I feel that God is going to release a fresh passion and working in my life and ministry. I am currently seeking God on what that looks like. Things like: am I to go to another base, am I to go overseas, am I to stay here and expand my ministry. Many factors are involved in that but that is where I am at. Restless but a good restless as I feel I am ready to be challanged more in my calling. I am also in the process of deciding what I will be doing for the summer. I will let you know that when that is set. Blessed always by your support and prayers. I really enjoyed coming home and being a part of KCC and the conference.
Blessings,
Brandi
Our journey began on March 28th 2008 until June 12th 2008. We were in Jordan for the majority of the outreach and then went to Israel for the last 2 weeks. While in Israel we went to Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Romala, Galilee, Nazareth. In Jordan we mostly stayed in the main city of Amman (which is where my story took place). Our team consisted of 6 adults (all YWAM staff) and two children. The trip was 10 weeks (2 1/2 months) long. The School of Missions that I was staffing has a more specific focus concentrating on better equipping missionaries for their long term call overseas, and in this case towards the Muslim world.
While teaching English at the center in Amman Jordan we were able to befriend one particular Muslim lady named Nadia. She invited us over to her house for dinner and to meet her family. It was a long night of hanging out and getting to know her and her family. Upon leaving Nadia invited us to come back and this time spend the night (which is fairly typical for Arab culture). The week before we went, my friends and I spent time in prayer asking God to open up opportunities while we are with them to share about God and his love for them. While there we had a great time experiencing their culture and the way they live.
We visited and ate Jordanian food, and more food and coffee and tea and desert. By the time we were finished eating it was getting late into the night. Some spiritual things were brought up as we got to know this Muslim family. Through talking with them the subject of hearing God’s voice came up. They wanted us to tell them about their personalities, so I explained to them how we can hear from God and that we have a relationship with him. In front of 10 or so sisters and daughters we one by one asked God how he made these women to be and what he wanted to say to them. As we spoke these things out some of the women began to cry and get excited as the things we were saying were true to who they were and touched their hearts. God continued to speak prophetic words through us that blew these ladies away. We wrote everything down for them and were able to speak truth and love to them, it was so amazing. By the time we were finished it was around 3am in the morning. We went to bed beyond excited at how God showed up and used us to bring truth to these Muslim ladies. The next day before leaving, our friend said that by us coming into their home it had changed their family and their lives. If God sent me to Jordan just for that one experience it would be all worth it! I know that a seed was planted there and I know that God will continue to touch that family’s life and that they are that much closer to knowing God in a true way.
